Description

Crispy on the outside and tender in the middle, these Best Crispy Oven Sweet Potato Fries are an easy recipe packed with bold flavor and perfect texture. They make a quick snack, easy side dish, or fun addition to dinner ideas, game day spreads, and casual food ideas when you want something simple, oven baked, and seriously satisfying.

Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon chopped parsley, optional

1/2 cup dipping sauce of choice, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Peel the sweet potatoes if preferred, then cut them into thin, even fries.

3. Pat the fries very dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

4. Place the fries in a large bowl and toss with the cornstarch until lightly coated.

5. Add the olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika, then toss again until evenly seasoned.

6. Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they do not overlap.

7. Bake for 15 minutes, flip the fries, then bake for another 10 to 15 minutes until golden and crisp around the edges.

8. Let the fries rest for 2 to 3 minutes, then top with parsley if using and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Use evenly cut fries so they bake at the same rate and crisp more consistently.

Do not overcrowd the pan or the fries will steam instead of roast.

For the crispiest texture, serve them right after baking and avoid covering them while hot.
