Ingredients
2 large chicken breasts
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons diced red bell pepper
Instructions
1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5 to 7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through to 165°F. Remove and set aside.
3. Lower the heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring until combined and warmed through.
5. Add the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese gradually, whisking until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
6. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the cheese sauce over the top. Let it warm together for 1 to 2 minutes.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley and diced red bell pepper, then serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly shredded cheese for the smoothest sauce.
Pound thick chicken breasts to an even thickness so they cook evenly.
Add a splash of milk during reheating to keep the sauce creamy.
