3/4 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a bundt pan very well.
2. Cut each biscuit into quarters and set the pieces aside.
3. In a large bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
4. Toss the biscuit pieces in the cinnamon sugar until evenly coated.
5. Melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar until combined.
6. Place half of the coated dough pieces into the prepared bundt pan.
7. Drizzle half of the butter mixture over the dough.
8. Add the remaining dough pieces and pour over the rest of the butter mixture.
9. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
11. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
12. Drizzle the glaze over the warm monkey bread and serve.
Notes
Use plenty of grease in the bundt pan so the monkey bread releases cleanly.
Let the bread cool briefly before inverting so it holds its shape better.
Serve it warm for the softest texture and the best glaze consistency.
