Ingredients
2 pounds cooked shredded chicken
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons chopped chives
6 sandwich buns
Instructions
1. Add the shredded chicken to a large skillet or saucepan over medium-low heat.
2. Stir in the softened cream cheese and mix until it begins to melt into the chicken.
3. Add the ranch seasoning and stir until the chicken is evenly coated.
4. Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese and chicken broth until the filling is creamy and heated through.
5. Fold in most of the chopped bacon, reserving a little for garnish.
6. Warm or lightly toast the sandwich buns if desired.
7. Spoon the crack chicken mixture onto each bun.
8. Top with the remaining bacon and chopped chives, then serve warm.
Notes
Rotisserie chicken works great here and saves time.
Add a splash of extra broth if the filling gets too thick during reheating.
