Description

This easy pecan pie bark is a quick dessert packed with buttery pecans, caramelized brown sugar flavor, and crisp candy-like crunch. Perfect for holiday dessert trays, easy snack ideas, homemade food gifts, and simple dessert recipes, this sweet treat gives you all the cozy flavor of pecan pie in a fast, shareable bark.

Ingredients

2 cups pecan halves

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup light corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

8 graham cracker sheets or about 35 saltine crackers

1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet or jelly roll pan with parchment paper.

2. Arrange the graham crackers or saltine crackers in a single even layer across the prepared pan.

3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

4. Stir in the brown sugar, light corn syrup, and salt.

5. Cook the mixture, stirring often, until smooth and bubbling, about 2 to 3 minutes.

6. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and pecan halves.

7. Pour the hot pecan mixture evenly over the crackers.

8. Use a spatula to gently spread the pecans and syrup across the surface.

9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the topping is bubbling and glossy.

10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with flaky sea salt if using.

11. Let the bark cool completely in the pan until fully set.

12. Break into pieces and serve.

Notes

Use fresh pecans for the best rich, buttery flavor and crunch.

Let the bark cool fully before breaking it so the texture sets properly.

A drizzle of melted chocolate can be added after cooling for an extra dessert-style finish.
