  • Author: Kate Walton
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 1 large pizza (serves 4)

Description

This Philly Cheesesteak Pizza is the perfect fusion of two classic comfort foods: pizza and cheesesteak. Topped with tender shredded steak, melty mozzarella, and vibrant bell peppers, it delivers hearty, cheesy flavor with every bite. Ideal for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

1 prepared pizza dough or pre-baked crust (1214 inches)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup cooked and shredded steak (ribeye or sirloin recommended)

1/2 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1/4 onion, thinly sliced (optional)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: provolone or American cheese slices for added richness

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using fresh dough, let it rest at room temperature for 20–30 minutes.
  2. Roll dough into a 12- to 14-inch round and place on a pizza stone or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Brush olive oil over the surface and spread a thin layer of pizza sauce.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the sauce. Add provolone or American cheese if desired.
  5. Distribute shredded steak, sliced bell peppers, and onions across the pizza.
  6. Season with garlic powder and black pepper.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  8. Let rest a few minutes before slicing and serving.
