Description

Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi is a quick dinner packed with juicy shrimp, rich garlic butter sauce, bright lemon flavor, and fresh herbs. This easy recipe is perfect for a quick dinner, easy dinner, seafood dinner ideas, and simple food ideas when you want something fast, flavorful, and satisfying.

Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

4 slices French bread or crusty bread

Instructions

1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.

2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil with 2 tablespoons of butter.

3. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and lightly golden.

4. Transfer the shrimp to a plate and reduce the heat slightly.

5. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet, then stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

6. Pour in the lemon juice and stir well, scraping up the flavorful bits from the pan.

7. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss in the sauce for 1 minute until coated and heated through.

8. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.

9. Serve hot with warm French bread or crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

Pat the shrimp dry before cooking so they sear better and do not water down the sauce.

Cook the shrimp just until pink and opaque to keep them tender and juicy.

Serve immediately while the garlic butter sauce is glossy and fresh.
