Description

Ingredients

2 chai tea bags

1/2 cup hot water

1 cup milk

2 tablespoons cherry syrup

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon cherry syrup for the foam

1 cup ice

1 maraschino cherry


Instructions

1. Steep the chai tea bags in the hot water for 5 to 7 minutes until strong, then remove the tea bags and let the chai cool.

2. Stir 2 tablespoons of cherry syrup into the cooled chai until fully combined.

3. Fill a tall glass with ice.

4. Pour the cherry chai mixture over the ice, then add the milk.

5. In a small cup, froth the heavy cream with 1 tablespoon cherry syrup until light and fluffy.

6. Spoon the cherry foam over the top of the latte.

7. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and serve immediately.

Notes

Use strongly brewed chai so the flavor does not get lost once the ice and milk are added.

Chill the chai before assembling for the best layered look and the coldest drink.

Adjust the cherry syrup to taste if you want the latte more fruity or more spiced.
