Description

These Maple Glazed Chicken Thighs are a quick dinner packed with sweet savory flavor, juicy chicken, and a glossy homemade glaze that makes this easy recipe perfect for weeknight dinner ideas, comfort food cravings, and simple food ideas the whole family will love.

Ingredients

6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1/3 cup pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and minced garlic until smooth.

3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium to medium-high heat.

4. Add the chicken thighs to the skillet and sear for 5 to 7 minutes on the first side until deeply golden.

5. Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 to 6 minutes until the second side is browned.

6. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter to the skillet.

7. Pour the maple glaze mixture into the pan and turn the chicken to coat it well.

8. Continue cooking for 5 to 8 minutes, spooning the glaze over the chicken until the sauce thickens and the chicken reaches 165°F internally.

9. Remove from the heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Patting the chicken dry helps it brown better and keeps the glaze from getting watery.

Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor and the most balanced sweetness.

Spoon the glaze over the chicken as it cooks so every piece gets coated evenly.
