Description

This White Trash Recipe is a quick dessert snack mix loaded with crunchy cereal, salty pretzels, peanuts, chocolate candies, and a smooth white coating. It is an easy recipe for parties, holiday snacking, food ideas, dessert table treats, and make-ahead sweet bites when you need fun snack ideas fast.

Ingredients

4 cups Rice Chex cereal

4 cups Corn Chex cereal

2 cups mini pretzels

2 cups salted cocktail peanuts

1 1/2 cups M&M’s

24 ounces vanilla almond bark

Instructions

1. Add the Rice Chex, Corn Chex, mini pretzels, and salted cocktail peanuts to a very large mixing bowl and toss gently.

2. Place the vanilla almond bark in a microwave-safe bowl and melt in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth.

3. Pour the melted almond bark over the cereal mixture and fold gently until everything is evenly coated.

4. Let the mixture cool for 1 to 2 minutes, then fold in the M&M’s carefully so they keep their shape.

5. Spread the mixture onto parchment paper or a lined baking sheet in an even layer.

6. Let it sit until the coating is fully set, then break into clusters and serve.

Notes

Add the M&M’s after the mixture cools slightly so the candy shells do not crack or melt.

Use a very large bowl so you can stir without crushing the cereal.

Store the finished mix in an airtight container to keep it crisp and fresh.
